As usual, summer has been incredibly busy and I just haven’t found the time to write. After the wedding (which I’m also planning a big post about this week, once I manage to download all 800+ photos), I also changed jobs, and by the evening I’ve been so tired that I haven’t managed to write anything down. I’ll write more about the wedding and the new job later. And on weekends, there’s just so much else going on. With the weather we’re having right now, you simply can’t stay indoors. Spending time in the sun, it has become increasingly important to me how my skin handles it. Previously, I never worried that too much sun could cause wrinkles. Whether it’s due to age and the first ones (well, to be honest, I could have talked about the first wrinkles quite a few wrinkles ago) or increased awareness, I almost refuse to let my face tan now.
Obviously, it’s impossible to avoid the sun completely, and that’s why I’ve become a total cream addict. As I mentioned in my previous blog post where I talked more about The Skin House creams, saying I’d like to try their other products, well, now I have. Currently, I’m using their Wrinkle System line, which consists of a night firming serum, an anti-aging cream with snail mucin, a firming face cream, and an anti-aging emulsion.

The products in this line all contain collagen and adenosine. Every product features a certified collagen ingredient that helps firm the skin again and has an anti-aging active. The other main ingredient is adenosine, which has an anti-aging effect and makes the skin more elastic and smooth again. All the products ensure that the skin has fewer wrinkles, is more elastic, and inhibits the appearance of uneven pores.
As always, I first use a toner to cleanse my face and prepare it for the serum, emulsion, and cream.
Then I use the serum to nourish the skin with nutrients. Generally, serums are my favorite skincare products because of their silky consistency. This serum also has a silky texture and absorbs quickly.
Next, I use the emulsion. I don’t use the emulsion every time, only when I feel my skin needs extra hydration.
After using the serum, I use either the anti-aging cream with snail mucin and adenosine or the firming face cream. The snail mucin used in this cream is in a very natural and pure form, which makes the cream very effective. The snail mucin cream is a bit different from the creams I’ve used so far; as the name suggests, it has a “slimy” consistency and is very hydrating. When applied, the cream is stretchy and quite unusual at first, but it immediately makes the skin soft and silky. The cream provides hydration for 24 hours! I have combination skin, which is very dry in some parts and rather oily in others, and I can say that over the last few months, I haven’t noticed any more flaky skin. I use the firming cream in the mornings before applying makeup. This has become such a strong habit lately that I don’t even start my makeup without it, because the makeup blends with the skin so much better and doesn’t leave any patches.
Since all the products are also sold separately, it’s easy to just buy a new one when something runs out. For some reason, I have a little quirk where the products I use for skincare have to be from the same line.
