A while ago, The Skin House sent me the new Aloe Fresh line to try, and I have been using the products for 2 weeks now. The products make the face soft, and after using them, the skin feels very clean. Personally, I would recommend these products more to people with drier skin, because at times the creams moisturized my skin a bit too well.
My personal favorite is definitely the Aloe Smoothing Balm, because its hydration is the best choice for winter and the current cold and windy weather. Whenever the skin is dry or flaky somewhere, the Aloe Smoothing Balm comes to the rescue, and in a couple of days, the skin is sufficiently hydrated.
I’ll also tell you what my facial cleansing routine looked like. For me, the day begins and ends with skincare because I struggle with acne. Therefore, facial care is my top priority.
I started my routine with a face wash, of course. Then I applied Aloe Fresh Toner (€16.95) to a cotton pad and applied the toner to my face (from the center of the face outwards). Here’s a little tip: to help the product absorb better, you should pat your face. The aloe toner quickly soothes the skin and leaves the face feeling fresh and hydrated.
The second product I used was the Aloe Fresh Serum (€16.95). I applied a sufficient amount to my fingers, massaged it into my face, and let it absorb. The rich moisturizing effect of aloe forms a thin layer on the skin that quickly hydrates dry skin. Since the product is quite creamy, it’s possible to accidentally apply too much.
The third product I used was the Aloe Fresh Emulsion (€18.95), which I didn’t use daily, but applied to my face when my skin was especially dry and needed intense hydration. Aloe Fresh Emulsion makes tired and rough skin hydrated and healthy again. A big plus with this product is that it doesn’t leave the skin sticky.
The fourth product is one of my favorites: Aloe Smoothing Balm (€34.90). I applied this product just like the previous ones. Of course, for better absorption, I also patted the skin so the product would hydrate even better. Aloe Smoothing Balm forms a moisture-retaining layer on the skin, which reduces moisture loss and helps nutrients absorb faster. The skin becomes more elastic, radiant, and hydrated. The cream contains aloe leaf extract, which protects the skin from harmful environmental factors and takes care of the well-being of sensitive skin.
Lastly, I’ll talk about The Skin House Aloe Water Mist (€8.99), which wasn’t part of my daily routine but was my second favorite in the package sent by The Skin House. I usually used the face spray before applying makeup and after removing it, because it hydrated my skin and made it very soft. I sprayed the product onto my face from a distance of about 20–30 cm, keeping my eyes closed, of course. The aloe face spray hydrates the skin and keeps sebum production under control after using makeup.
I warmly recommend this line if you have very dry or drier skin, as these products hydrate the skin very well.
